Our Bermuda

As the oldest remaining British overseas territory, Bermuda is actually a group of 138 islands, with a total area of a little more than 20 square miles. Bermuda has a subtropical climate, beautiful beaches, cerulean blue oceans, and one of the highest per capita incomes in the world.
Sandys Parish (pronounced “Sands”) is named for English aristocrat Sir Edwin Sandys (1561-1629). Located in the northwest of the island chain, it is comprised of the three islands of Ireland Island, Boaz Island, and the larger Somerset Island, as well as a small part of the main island of Bermuda. Sandys includes a variety of interesting landmarks, including Ely’s Harbor, the Cathedral Rocks, Daniel’s Head, and Mangrove Bay, as well as the Somerset Bridge—linking the mainland to Somerset Island—
and the old Royal Naval Dockyard on Ireland Island.
