On Thursday, November 20, 2025, Cambridge Beaches Resort in Bermuda hosts the official Film Tour Announcement for Transforming the Beautiful Game: The Clyde Best Story.
This landmark documentary traces the journey of Bermudian football legend Clyde Best, one of the first Black superstars of English football’s modern television era, often remembered as the “Best Sportsman You Never Knew.” In 1969, Best signed for West Ham United at just 17. At a time when Black players were rare and racism was routine, he rose to prominence, scoring 58 goals in 218 appearances and inspiring a generation. On Easter Sunday, 1972, he helped make history as part of the first English league team to start three Black players, alongside Clive Charles and Ade Coker. Best later became a standout in the North American Soccer League, cementing his place as a pioneer who helped reshape football’s future.
a 10‑minute film sneak peek, a tour reveal of premiere cities and 2026 dates, and a panel discussion with Clyde Best, Ade Coker, West Ham historian Tim Crane, and Patrick Horne (author of Black Pioneers of the NASL).
Guests will also enjoy a special ticket offer with early access to premiere screenings, followed by dinner at Breezes and a networking reception with sponsors, media, and football community leaders.
