For five-star beachside dining: Breezes

"Part of the Cambridge Beaches luxury beach resort, Breezes pairs five-star cooking with five-star water views, and leans into its remote, natural setting.

The menu embraces local cooking in progressive, international styles, and among an intriguing array of dishes are plant-based delicacies, including a maitake and morel roast in a lemon-thyme mushroom jus, served with cauliflower purée and charred sweet cherry tomatoes, finished with a herby thyme foam. Another is smoked, torched avocado escovitch with a lime-allspice glaze and carrot-pepper nage (poached in a flavoured broth). It’s served with crispy sweet onion “petals” and topped with toasted sunflower seeds. The menu’s smoke-and-spice pairings sit perfectly with the island’s own Dark ’n’ Stormy highball, made with Gosling’s Black Seal Rum and the distiller’s own spicy ginger beer, and finished with a spritz of lime".
